Basically, this study focuses to cognize the form of control conducted by the Central Government in the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) in Aceh. The purpose of this study consisted of two things, first; to identify and explain the facts on the form of Central Government’s control towards the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) in Aceh. And second; to cognize the control process made by Central Government in the establishment of TRC in Aceh. The study question is what form of Central Government’s control in the establishment of TRC in Aceh?. After a thorough study into the field, the conclusion is establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission will be difficult to form in the local Aceh and the second; Aceh TRC to be problematic for the central government. Study method is qualitative with descriptive analysis. Data collection X techniques using in-depth interview, observation, focus group discussion, information from printed media, and research related to TRC.
