ABSTRACT The Recurrent of schizophrenia patient is not only caused by internal factor but also by treatment factor and social relation of the patient itself. The relations between patient with Psychiatric Hospital, family and social environment can influence recurrent. Therefore the relation between patient with Psychiatric Hospital, family and social environment in preventing recurrent of schizophrenia patient becomes interest to discuss. To know the effect of it can be seen by the form and the meaning of relation in preventing recurrent of schizophrenia patient. This research used qualitative method by phenomenology approach to reveal the form and the meaning of relation in preventing recurrent of schizophrenia patient. This research was done in Susut District Bangli Residence Bali Province. Data resource of this research was in the form of premier and secondary data. Informant divided by purposive and snowball technique. Data collecting research was done by observation, deep interview, and document study. Data analysis was done by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. To test the validity from the data, this research used triangulation technique. Based on the finding in the field, this research finds that support in preventing the recurrent of schizophrenia patient produces two forms of relation that are associative social relation and dissociative social relation. The associative social relation can be seen from cooperation in the form of home visit and after care actions. However, dissociative social relation can be seen from contra-version in dropping and social exclusion action. The associative social relation produces the meaning of cooperation between Psychiatric Hospital, family and social environment. However dissociative social relation in the form of dropping action raises commercial meaning in the effort to prevent recurrent of schizophrenia patient. However social exclusion action indicates society to schizophrenia patient. Key words : Relation, Recurrent and Schizophrenia
