The study took place in Makassar with a focus on FSPBI (Federasi Serikat Perjuangan Buruh Indonesia) and SPN (Serikat Perjuangan Nasional). The results showed that the practice of employment status (contract system and outsourcing) is used by companies to emasculate the unions. Gelding trade union is done by utilizing contract system and outsourcing to bleaching status of workers, using the flexibility of working (External & Wages), pitting unions and unilaterally dismiss trade union elite. There are two effects of the practice of contract system and outsourcing. First the workers personally experienced both the commodification and trade unions in quantity deficit. So as to respond to it, workers perform a variety of resistance efforts. In Makassar resistance is done with some methods of struggle in the room mediation, terror SMS, factory floor fight and struggle with how to set up trade unions in the workplace. Surplus labor and industrial character is the reason the practice of contract labor and outsourcing in Makassar flourished.
