2016 | Tesis | Ilmu Hubungan InternasionalABSTRACT Nowadays, issues concerning the airspace utilized its role as an instrument to achieve political ideals of a country. Within two decades, developments in air transport has changed with globalization. The form of cooperation that frequently occur conducted in international politics is the liberalization of air space with Open Skies scheme. This thesis describes and analyzes the air space of the sovereignty of Indonesia, which has implications with Open Skies policy within Southeast Asia region. The airspace liberalization formulated within ASEAN Single Aviation Market (ASAM), which was agreed at the summit of Bali Concord II in 2003. It is an attempt to bridge the interaction between society connectivity within ASEAN member countries and with the international community through the airspace. For Indonesia, the policy of the air space liberalization through Open Skies scheme has meaning with more open lanes of air traffic over the Indonesia airspace territory to foreign airlines.
