ABSTRACT Special Distric of Yogyakarta are region that has people with difference ethnicity background, and Javanese ethnic are greatest amounts (96,35%), and Chinese ethnic are 0,33%. The Chinese ethnic are people that come from abroad of Indonesia. The Chinese people has been living in Indonesia a long before colonial era and by colonial they has given position as intermediatery in trade and they has to live in pecinan enclave. The products of acculturation include plantation, shipping technicality, architecture, timber crafts, batik, food and beverege, fashion, ammunition, and they were channel for penetration of Islam in Indonesia. But the relations of both ethnic of Chinese and Javanese are fragile and explosive moreover in New Order era were forbidden for they open celebrates of cultures and customs in public. The unity of Yogyakarta Chinese community Jogja Chinese Art and Culture Centre (JCACC) has function to manage of celebrations of the Chinese new year (Imlek), Peh Cun and Tiong Jiu with involved Javanese community. In the celebrates of cultures and customs involves the social interaction that become basic of intercultural communication. The intercultural communication has been using verbal and nonverbal symbols that by which each of both of ethnic to knowing and understanding the cultural values and customs one and others that formed the intercultural relationships among them. The intercultural relationships are manifestation a close relationship between of both of ethnic that living in harmony in Special Distric of Yogyakarta. The intercultural communication that has take placed effectively supported by formal and informal leaders in government and in the community of Yogyakarta. Therefore celebrates of three of JCACC are managed was becomes as calendar of events of Yogyakarta tourism. So, the intercultural communication that JCACC are involving by arts and cultural events has becomes more closely the ethnical relationships of Chinese-Javanese in Yogyakarta.
