Politik Ekonomi Media Cetak di Kalimantan Selatan:(Studi kasus Struturasi dan Spasialisasi dalam Surat Kabar Harian Banjarmasin Post dan Kalimantan Post)

ABSTRACT Banjarmasin Post and Kalimantan Post are two daily newspapers published in South Kalimantan since the New Order era with a different historical background. Banjarmasin Post is a great local newspapers because the national media auspices Tribune network, while Kalimantan Post managed by local communities. The purpose of this study was to assess and describe the strategy of the political economy of each media, especially the practice of structuration and spatialization is the reason for both the media is able to survive as it is now. The method used is descriptive case studies qualitatively. Resource persons in this study amounted to 6 people. For Banjarmasin Post No 4 which the Editorial Manager, Circulation, Sell Senior Intern and HRD. As for the Kalimantan Post that there were two people from the Editor in Chief and Head of HRD. The focus of this research is the aspect of structuration and applied spatialization each media in maintaining its presence. Data analysis performed by the researchers is to collect data obtained from interviews, direct observation and literature. From the findings of research data and analysis of very thick with the nuances of political economy, especially structuration and spatialization. In terms of structuration, can be found dominance actor as media owners determine the direction of policy as well as media content. Where the largest shareholder in Banjarmasin Post is Indopersda Kompas Gramedia Group (KKG), while the owner Kalimantan Post is a local businessman and former Golkar politician. In terms of spatialization, because Banjarmasin Post is a child who has a large capital KKG so successfully built a diversified product that Metro Banjarnewspaper, Serambi Ummahtabloid, and B magazinemagazine. While Kalimantan Post because it has limited capital, just focus on the strategy of expanding distribution area. Keywords: Local Media, Political Economy, Structuration, Spatialization
