Since the colonial era to the post-New Order, he continued to shift following the shift of economic and political poles that much to give effect to the various constituent materials of knowledge about the identity itself. However, after the New Order as one of the social cracks in Indonesia into context interesting to see how the discourse of Chinese Muslim identity that develop within one artifaknya, namely Community Magazine - Cheng Hoo. Through discourse analysis model of Norman Fairclough, this study not only outlines the practice of Muslim identity formation sosiokultur Chinese in Indonesia macro, but at the same time being able to see how knowledge is embedded in a micro level (of text). There are two important points to be discussed in this research. First, in the context of socio-cultural discourse is not really a Chinese Muslim identity "old stuff." The identity is formed through the friction of power relations in the field of discourse. Interestingly, in this case, the Chinese Muslim identity as discourse to follow the poles of political economy. Changes in economic and political poles, joined shifting how the identity discourse was represented because the material culture as the production of knowledge of existing capital will allow for the creation of the Chinese Muslim representation in different forms. Secondly, through the dismantling of the text in Communities Magazine - Cheng Hoo, it could be understood that the Chinese Muslims not only exist as a discourse, but also has a specific purpose. In terms of representation, the Chinese Muslims seem to want to change the dominant discourse about ethnic Chinese who had only characterized in the realm of economics. While in terms of relations of participants in the text, the Chinese Muslim community is an inclusive group. Even in the absence of assimilation, these groups were able to mingle with other community groups. Keywords: Discourse, Identity, Tionghoa Moslem, Post New Order
