ABSTRACT This study on stigma and stigma causes people to housewives with HIV and AIDS. Stigma against people living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) become major problems. They assume that people infected with HIV and AIDS deserve punishment for bad behavior. Sleman District is a district with an increase in cases of HIV and AIDS than most other districts in the province. For the category of housewives numbered 606 souls (DIY AIDS Commission, March 2016). Whereas the role of housewife is very important in a family in terms of protection of family members of HIV and AIDS. Stigma against people living with HIV can occur because of erroneous public understanding about HIV and AIDS, social associated with HIV and AIDS patients would make them sick.
