ABSTRACT This paper studied about news frame from two local media, Kedaulatan Rakyat and Harian Jogja, on their report about resistance of Yogyakarta’s people who repel the hotels construction around their houses. By used framing analysis model by Pan & Kosicki, 14 news items on 2014 periode were analyzed sentence by sentence. The results showed that both local media had framed resistance issue through different approachment. That frame seen by title, lead, text structure writing, until how both of local media labelled the people as the main actor of that resistance movement. More of it, this results proofed that both local medias have tendency to take sides on particularly case, and the local people, who served by local media, is not always the one who get the support from media.
