Abstract This thesis will examine assistance to communities conducted by the Christian Foundation for Public Health ( YAKKUM ) by forming Community Development ( CD ) Bethesda . YAKKUM via CD Bethesda provides assistance and guidance to community groups are less able to be more independent and live in dignity. CD Bethesda do some training to people to have skills that could be a source of community . Of some groups of people trained in different turns in receiving the program implemented . This thesis uses the case study method for this research specifically done for people who are victims of Mount Merapi eruption in 2010 Key words : to be more independent and live in dignity., Community Development
