ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the socialization of people living with HIV in communities of Yogyakarta built Victory Plus Foundation and provide input to the government and people of Yogyakarta will be the importance of care and support for PLWHA in socializing with the community. Once the importance of socialization in the society, because in this life everyone needs to hold his life, including for PLWHA. This is because socialization is a lifelong process that concerns how PLHIV learn values and social norms prevailing in a society to people living with HIV can develop into personally received by the community. This study is a qualitative descriptive approach. This research was conducted in the city of Yogyakarta. Informants in this study which is 7 people living with HIV, 1 Victory Plus foundation management, and 4 members of the public. Based on this research, it was found that most of the informants in this study conceal identity as people living with HIV in the community. Fear will PLHIV negative attitude given by the people to make them afraid to reveal the truth of his illness. Constraints experienced by people living with HIV in the process of socialization in the society that their fears and concerns are considered differently by society, so prefer to withdraw from society by doing activities outside as a member of Victory Plus foundation. With a foundation affiliated with the informant at many of the benefits include: 1) Victory Foundation provides mentoring, thereby helping HIV-positive people to socialize in the community. 2) PLHIV Getting greater knowledge about HIV / AIDS. 3) people living with HIV receive adequate healthcare facilities and free testing. 4) PLHIV feel more confident, motivated life, sense of shared destiny and their mental awakening inside. 5) PLHIV are involved with various positive activities such as meetings held by peer support group, meeting regularly every month, training, meetings PLWHA province. 6) PLHIV are also involved in business activities.
