ABSTRACT The most important objective of this study was to elucidate the role of the Chamber of Commerce of East Kalimantan as a diplomat commercial (trading), which is the development of diplomacy towards a multi-path (multi-track diplomacy) and at the same time seeks to understand the contribution of the international regime according to the Chamber of Commerce of East Kalimantan in its relations with foreign parties, either bilaterally (Sosek-Malindo), regionally (BIMP-EAGA) and globalally (ACTIVE/EU). Furthermore, this study also tries to analyze the contribution regime of international cooperation conducted by the Chamber of Commerce of East Kalimantan in creating economic growth, infrastructure improvements and increase international trade in East Kalimantan. To explain the main problems of this research, it is necessary to use the theory of multi-track diplomacy (track-three diplomacy), the theory of commercial diplomats and the theory of international regimes. The theory of multi-track diplomacy in this study is intended to clarify the role of the Chamber of Commerce of East Kalimantan in the international arena.
