ABSTRACT Economic Independence fishing communities have not materialized despite the abundant marine resources, and government policy continued. The fishing communities still have the problems of capital stock, the quality of human resources, poverty, and even conflict among fishermen. On the other hand, the fishing community has vertices great power of social capital such as togetherness and solidarity that grows naturally in the community. The existence of the Joint Business Group became one of the supporters of their relationships with outside parties fishing communities. The emergence of social capital theory by some originators give you an idea, that social capital can provide a boost to the settlement of economic problems. Be interesting then, what about the social capital of the fishing communities KUB Bino Makmur. With that background, the formulation of this research is "How has the Power of Social Capital Community Traditional Fishermen on Economic Independence in KUB Bino Makmur Keboromo Pati?". This research uses descriptive qualitative method. This research is located in the village of Pati Tayu Keboromo districts. The unit of analysis in this research is the traditional fishing communities KUB Bino Makmur key informant for local fishing communities, and informants additional local village chief, Mitra Makmur KUB Bino, and the Department of Fisheries keluatan Pati. Data Collection Using interviews, observation, and study documents. The informants include six fishermen, 3 village, 3 DKP, a partner of sheep, and the informant observations 2. Analysis of data using analytical theory of Miles and Huberman, and the validity of the data using Trianggulasi. Research shows that social capital KUB Bino Makmur fishing communities in Relational very closely at the relationship Bridging. With this pattern the public can obtain capital with a guarantee of confidence. Moreover, the pattern of relationships linking the community also gives a boost to be able to recognize environmental problems, economic, social and they faced. With the network with the Sheep, the public has the insight and knowledge about marine better. Internal public relations bonding establish a strong togetherness and solidarity. With these patterns, the fishing community can be build economic independence through a pattern of saving money at home, easy capital stock, and other work on the alternative bad season. KUB also showed growth dynamics, a strong link with the Sheep, and DKP provide progress for KUB Bino Makmur, and Joyo KUB KUB Makmur in developing the program. With these findings, it became a new hope, people can have more confidence in yourself in order to develop social capital owned. Potential Social capital is also expected to be used to synergize development programs either by the village government as well as from the Department of Marine and Fisheries.
