Child Protection Unicef dalam Mengurangi Kekerasan Anak Di Indonesia

2016 | Tesis | Ilmu Hubungan InternasionalABSTRACT This thesis is aiming the dynamics in child protection implementation in Indonesia. Child protection is one of UNICEF‟s aids to Indonesian government with purpose to help Indonesian government to fulfill child‟s rights to be free from any kinds of violence. That purpose is based on Indonesian commitment completion while ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Child protection is a program that was created by UNICEF with human rights based approach which then integrated with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Child protection has different dynamics when implemented in various countries including Indonesia. The author wants to observe the dynamics that exist when child protection were implemented in Indonesia. The dynamics of child protection in Indonesia is very influenced by the law and order in Indonesia, relations between actors that involved social norms in Indonesia, and actors‟ knowledge about child protection. In this thesis, the author have seen some actors which from government as well as non-government who involved in child protection from UNICEF. The actors are Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (KPAI), Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (KPPPA), SOS Children‟s Villages, and UNICEF as initiator of the child protection program in Indonesia. Besides the dynamics and obstacles, the author also notice that there is succession achieved by UNICEF through child protection program. The succession that achieved such as the society start to actively involve preventing violence to child up to strengthened the government commitment with updating few regulations related to child protection.
