ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the role of tobacco businessmen on the candidates in elections in 2013. It used research questions, namely the relation of regent with businessmen in financing of Pamekasan election 2013? It is intended to know the workings of the tobacco businessmen and in the realm of electoral politics. In analyzing the existing problems in this study, the authors used the theory of political financing as a use to analyze the sources of financing that provided by the owner of an interprise of tobacco to the candidates in the election process. So that it will bring the relation between the owner of an interprise of tobacco after the election process passed. The research method used in this study is a qualitative case study approach. The subjects were the tobacco businessmen in Pamekasan is H. Kamil and elected regent is Ach. Syafi‟i. Keywords : role, tobacco businessmen, political financing, Pamekasan election.
