ABSTRACT Djawa Baroe magazine is, the two-weekly magazine published by Jawa Shinbunkai (Java Newspaper Company), which was published during the Japanese occupation in Java, the year 1943-1945. The magazine became very interesting data to be used as the site of representation, to explore how youth representation during the Japanese occupation in Java. Youth is an important topic in the landscape theme of the Japanese occupation in Java. Youth have a significant role in the context in which the early days of the revolution. During the Japanese occupation, youths in Java were mobilized by the Japanese into a variety of youth organizations.
