ABSTRACT This research aims to find out how the strategy of communication is conducted by Maha Gotra Pasek Sanak Sapta Rsi on the cultural transformation of cremation culture in Bali. Method which was used is case study with data collecting technique thru thorough interviews, observation and documentation study. Based on the result could be drawn a conclusion that the strategy of communication which is being conducted by organization of Maha Gotra Pasek Sanak Sapta Rsi in the process of crematorium diffusion of innovation was the first of cremation crematorium in Bali which had been successfully influenced to Bali‟s community to accept and using this innovation and this has resulted in changing or transformation of the implementation of Ngaben ritual in Bali. Key words: Crematorium, Ngaben, Communication Strategy, Diffusion of innovation, Cultural transformation.
