ABSTRACT Known as city of education, Yogyakarta not only rotating the wheel of economy in case of fulfilling the students need, but also bring some problems into society. One of the problems, that get much of attention nowadays, is the fact that the number of students addicted to drugs is increased. Drugs misuse can caused addiction, nerve damage, even death. It has been grown rapidly by years, so that it needs effort to decrease the drugs abuse. In Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, there are 103 cases related to drugs abuse had brought to the court on 2001. A year after, from 105 cases of drugs abuse, 102 of them had brought to the court. These facts indicated that drugs abuse has been increased lately. Moreover, most of the drugs addicts are at the productive age (19 – 39 years).
