Efektivitas Kebijakan Pemerintah Indonesia di Bidang Industri Otomotif dalam Menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN 2015

ABSTRACT This research heads for explaining and analyzing furthermore about the effectiveness of government policy in encouraging a competitiveness of indonesian outomotive industry in era of MEA. The theoritical review shows that MEA is one of the economical integrations which can be employed and become an opportunity for Indonesia to improve the competitiveness of its national industry, one of its major sectors is automotive industry. In the concepts of Porter’s Diamond Framework and competitiveness say that in the end economical integration creates a competition scheme between countries which are incorporated in economical integration. In the end this competition needs every country to improve its competitioness where the country’s competitiveness in the particular industry can be improved to fix several elements of domestical industry that it able to compete with global industry in international trade such as: Factor condition, Demand condition, Related and supporting industry dan Firm strategy, structure, and rivaly. This four elements are directly related to government policy, where the government plays a significant role in issuing policy which supports an enhancement of competitiveness. This research concludes that there are five policies taken by Indonesian government in developing the competitiveness of automotive industry in era of MEA. These five policies are policy of enhancement of infrastrcture, enhancement of industrial component, policy of low cost green car (LCGC), enhancement of technology of industrial automotive product, and enhancement of invesment of Indonesian automotive industry. Depending on analysis carried by writer toward those five policies, writer finds that those policies is quite effective to make the competitiveness of Indonesia automotive industry grow positively, even in several concerning which managed to be number one in ASEAN.
