Keadilan Sosial Titik Tengah : Belajar dari Pengalaman Masyarakat Tengger

ABSTRACT This research completes the debate about social justice on the art of democracy and democratisation in Indonesia. It provides the recent stories of inductive process in crafting the knowledge that lied on the daily life. It aims to answer: What and How Social Justice constructed in community? In doing so, the research conducted on two Tengger’s enclave village: Ngadas and Ranu Pani. Focusing on villager daily life activity in the field and their kitchen. Then, the methods to reveal the answer are phenomenology-hermeneutik by Heidegger. Framing of the analysis adopted from the blend theory of Contextual Political Analysis by Goddin and Tilly and Social Reconstruction by Berger and Luckmann, that analys three simultaneous moments: kontekstualiasasi, rekonstruksi and negosiasi, that known in the akronim as KEREN. Those three moments are moving forward in searching process of midpoint coordinates to deliver power with the same distance. The results are: Kontekstualiasasi process in Tengger happened with wielding the state as their adaptation process in the change of the era. Rekonstruksi process happened with creating new sustainable dynamic identity that always change from ulun hyang (the God/Godess servant) to pro-conservation community. Negotiation process happened with practising; niteni, laku and rewang. Those three local knowledge are the strategy that crafting the condition to deliver power and searching the mid point coordinate as the determination. Based on their experience, the midpoint coordinate is the local social justice knowledge that provide the awareness of the difficult choice between justice philosophical concepts and social dynamic fragile context.
