ABSTRACT Program of tackling urban poverty (P2KP) is a program that implemented by the government as an effort to tackle the problem of poverty in urban areas. This program designed to increase public participation in all stages of its activities. With micro credit program P2KP BKM Sinduadi community is expected to be one way to empower communities to alleviate poverty so the welfare. The program is still in progress, although BKM Sinduadi have been getting BKM award but not necessarily be able to guarantee the success of the program. One of them is micro credit that still face many deficiencies or obstacles encountered, so it still need a systematic evaluation process. Therefore, the objective of this study was to determine the evaluation of empowerment community micro credit programs in program of tackling urban poverty. In this research method used is qualitative method. Informant selection technique used is purposive sampling. This study uses data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique using the technique of interactive analysis Miles and Hubberman that consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. It was concluded that in the process of micro-credit programs BKM Sinduadi community will still continue to run and evaluation of the program also needs to be continued in order to better again, so BKM Sinduadi P2KP goal can be achieved as expected. The concept of empowerment is used in analyzing the results. It shows this Sinduadi BKM been awarded in 2010 but there are still many deficiencies or weaknesses such as bad loans so that peoples economic empowerment there are still obstacles. To promote sustainability program of tackling urban poverty as well poor community empowerment in the economic, social and environmental important thing to do is to cooperation or channeling with external parties such as the private sector, government and also with other institutions in order to support the success of the program. Supported also by the synergistic efforts of governments and communities to develop BKM Sinduadi become more independent as a container aspirations and community empowerment of the people program of tackling urban poverty.
