Konstruksi Identitas dan Dialektika Anggota Paguyuban Ngesti Tunggal (Pangestu) Dalam Kehidupan Sehari-Hari

2015 | Tesis | SosiologiPaguyuban Ngesti Tunggal (Pangestu), an institute that developed in Indonesia where it involves a knowledge institution that divides the world between the sacred and profane, like a belief or religion. Then, how the construction of identity takes place in Pangestu? and how Pangestu members define themselves subjectively on his legacy and how they actualize it in the context of everyday? Pangestu members basically has dual identity, are the warga and siswa. Identity formation is also associated with emerging Pangestu space. Pangestu space that forms the identity of warga have a narrow range since this idenititas carried by Pangestu members as far as they are bound together and they form the guidelines. In contrast to the identity of siswa that will be carried by members of Pangestu, where this identity appears in everyday life. Pangestu knowledge that provides guidance in daily life, by those referred to as the doctrine of Sang Guru Sejati. From the teachings of Sang Guru Sejati is then Pangestu members give different meaning to the institution, namely as a Spiritual Group. Rather than Pangestu as an organization whose meaning appears in a narrow space, Pangestu more emerging as a spiritual group where teaching is used by its members in everyday life. Pangestu has materialities that appears in the vicinity, both of which are in an environment Pangestu and in public spaces. Materiality that appears in the Pangestu is intended as a Pangestu legacy. Pangestu legacy is something that saves valuable Pangestu knowledges, who then prepared transferred to the next generation. This legacy in the form of textbooks, photographs Bapak Paranpara, Pangestu souvenir pennant, handbooks organizational and Kereta Sewandana painting. Be regarded as part of the materiality because these materials are also then that awareness leads to knowledge Pangestu member institution that will give meaning subjectively against Pangestu institutions. While materiality in public spaces is materiality which is basically the profane part of the knowledge Pangestu. Only through a delay, something profane it later became sacred. Something sacred and the profane are two things that provide a framework Pangestu as spiritual groups. Something sacred from Pangestu are things that are based on the teachings of Sang Guru Sejati who gave two circumstances, namely happiness and misery.
