Aboge dalam Arena Budaya, Spiritualitas, dan Politik:(Relasi antara Komunitas Aboge dengan Nahdlatul Ulama di Desa Cikakak Kecamatan Wangon Kabupaten Banyumas)

2015 | Tesis | SosiologiABSTRACT Aboge community (AlipReboWage) in Cikakak become one of the indigenous communities that still survive today. Aboge community group has two powerful identity in the form of indigenous identity (Javanese) and religion (Islam) identity. The second identity that impressed "contradictory" that was able to be accommodated by the Aboge community without any reduction in the meaning of teachings one of them. The struggle for existence Aboge communities operated in the arena of cultural, spiritual, and political. This research is expected to be beneficial academically and practically. Academically that in practice the interpretation of a religion never has single faced, but according to the locus of the development of the religion. The study also brings practical benefits for the community learning about tolerance differences of various religious sects that exist, and can receive as a distinction needs to be respected. Strong customary ownership in Aboge community relating to habits that exist in the customs running, then habit into the together belief in order to achieve peace and a peaceful life. From these reasons, the theory of habitus by Pierre Bourdieu as a bridge between the objective structures (custom) and subjective structure (individual consciousness) deemed appropriate to be a tools of analysis in this study. The research method uses qualitative method with phenomenological approach, especially phenomenology of religion which emphasizes that awareness and interaction with each other is formed.Techniques of data collection using interviews, observation, and literature study. The first result in this research is the formation of syncretism (intersection) that the teachings of Islam with Aboge tradition (custom) which is reflected in the good relations at the level of cognitive and practical. The relationship between other forms of genealogical relations, logical relations, historical relations, prophetic relations, and cooperative relations. Secondly, Aboge community struggles to maintain their existance in three arena, cultural arena, political, and spiritual. Cultural arena associated with the struggle for existence Aboge customs and traditions with the assistance of central agencies, namely Juru Kunci. The most influential capital is cultural capital in the form of public knowledge about the doctrines and traditions that they believe forms over the years. Spiritual arena related to struggles of Aboge community in the transcendent life derived from faith in Islamic teachings and beliefs of the Aboge traditions to obtain life "adem". Spiritual arena has a central agency such as Mbah Tolih regarded as waliullah (servant closer to Allah). The most influential capital in this arena is the symbolic capital in the form of Saka Tunggal mosque (1522) as one of the oldest mosques in Indonesia. Furthermore, the political arena with regard to affiliation Aboge community with NU (Nahdlatul Ulama). NU become a religious organization that is willing to accept the Muslim community who still trust the customs and do not require purification of Islamic values. The most influential capital in this arena is the social capital that exists in the form of a strong relationship between Aboge community with NU and their affirmation as part of NU.
