Strategi dan Tantangan Faith-Based Organizations(FBO) dalam Melakukan Diplomasi Kemanusiaan:(Studi kasus Jesuit Refugee Service di Sewon, Yogyakarta)

2015 | Tesis | Ilmu Hubungan InternasionalAbstract This research attempted to analyze the strategies and the challenges faced by the Faith-Based Organizations (FBO) with Christian values who worked in the region that the population majority are Moslem. In this thesis, the case study is Jesuit Refugee Servive (JRS) at Refugee Community Center in Sewon, Yogyakarta. The author analyze the strategies used by JRS through the process of assessment, humanitarian programs, and the evaluation process undertaken by JRS, with reference to the concept of do no harm. The strategies of humanitarian diplomacy of JRS also seen from the JRS advocacy in three levels of leadership in society. In addition, JRS also faces challenges in three categories, which are the institutional challenges, social and economic challenges, as well as security challenges. Even though there are some challenges faced by JRS, in fact JRS can continue to perform its humanitarian program in Sewon because of the good humanitarian diplomacy strategies.
