Kebijakan Pengelolaan Ekowisata Taman Nasional Terkait Otonomi Daerah Taman Nasional Komodo di Kabupaten Manggarai Barat

The first thing is to describe and to analyze the ecotourism management policy conducted by Local goverment of West Manggarai Regency and Komodo National Park Authority. The second is to indentify and to analyze supporting factors and obstacles ecotourism management of Komodo National Park. The approach used is a qualitative descriptive reviewed the literature and interviews to the stakeholders related to ecotourism management policies of Komodo National Park. The data collection techniques used is literature review, in-depth interviews and non-participatory observation. From the analysis and interpretation of data obtained and after being linked to one another, it was found that the collaborative management of ecotourism TN. Komodo is still at the level of participation of co-operation. This is because, there is still overlapping policies on non-tax revenues and entry fees Komodo National Park. Furthermore, it was found that the policy does not yet support ecotourism itself, such as the low community empowerment, the unavailability of sufficient infrastructure, especially primary health care, which is hospitals in Labuan Bajo. Ecotourism management is also supported by several factors, which is 1) the characteristics of TN. Komodo, where this region awarded Man and Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site of UNESCO and supported by the government with establishment of its status as a National Park. 2) The role of tourism stakeholders, wherein the stakeholders using their roles, functions and responsibilities as it should. Whereas the inhibiting factors, which is 1) Limited access to information, which can lead to misunderstandings among stakeholders, 2) participation of local communities is still low in the development of ecotourism Komodo National Park.
