ABSTRACT This thesis, purpose to explain about SVLK as a policy that has made by government with involve various actors as well as related stakeholders. Furthermore, SVLK had made based on Indonesia compliance within framework Voluntary Partnership Agreements-Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade (VPA-FLEGT) partnership between Indonesia – European Union, and existence of Indonesia interest in context of international trade. The methodology used in this thesis, is qualitative method by doing in-depth interview which involving 5 informants furniture industry player in Jepara regency. The theme of this thesis is very interesting for further research comprehensively, because at first response furniture industry player refuse to comply and implement SVLK especially in Jepara regency. Compliance of furniture industry player in Jepara regency in comply and implement SVLK, can seen from fulfillment cost of certification that quite high and legality requirement that contained in SVLK. Although SVLK does not give significant implication overall for furniture industry player in Jepara regency, yet with comply and implement SVLK so can give implication such as: changing capacity industry player, product selling price and market access increase to European Union. In the end Jepara furniture products gain recognition by international world as eco-labelling product and can compete with other countries.
