Abstract In this study, researchers discuss the concept of political differences raised by Iris Marion Young as an alternative to democratic thought-liberal-democratic thought of Rawls and Habermas consensual. Model of democratic-liberal-consensual considered likely to ignore unikum of any social group in the public domain. The notion that indicates the distinction of being an abnormal action in the traditional meaning, making it is often used as a reasoning for liberal-democratic model-consensual for subjecting difference and diversity unique citizen. This is where oppression and domination work in liberal-democratic-consensual. To achieve social justice in a state of a heterogeneous society. Democratic-liberal-consensual universality of humanism conceived within the framework of the political world are limited in terms of the discussion of public space, which is none other participation on access to get involved in the public space and in its involvement recognized. Unfortunately, the characteristics of the public space has been constructed and dominated by the dominant culture, therefore it is set aside as a distinct minority group socio-historical. Ironically it can not be raised in the liberal-democratic political conversation-consensual because crowded by the dominant cultural discourse, thus democracy loses its nature is emancipatory for equality of citizens. This makes democracy becomes a paradox because the political machine run single with no enemies, but in the era of globalization with diverse political ideologies supposedly democratic openness to experience both the political and political ethics “anything possible” emerging. This study is a qualitative research design argumentative towards fragility concept of consensual democracy to see political difference as an alternative to the challenge of pluralism in a democracy. The results showed that experiences the injustice requires a transformative effort for citizens to get involved in a public space away from mono-discourse and recognition of diversity within the framework of the demands of political differences. This can be achieved through the expansion of the discourse of public space for the citizens that is unique and different from the dominant group.
