ABSTRACT Russian resurgence marked by economic progress with Vladimir Putin as President of Russia. Putin by explicitly stating that the energy resources of Russia will start its glory back then. Achievement Russia through the energy sector impact on Russian interests in the region. Russia with economic advantages and resources begin to look fields owned energy neighboring countries, one of which is Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is a country with the largest oil reserves in Central Asia. Therefore, Russia is seeking to expand toward Kazakhstan in an effort to gain economic and political advantages.
