2014 | Tesis | Pembangunan Sosial dan KesejahteraanABSTRACT Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) turn to sexy issue. CSR and business are two things that can not be separated. Today, study of CSR has been carried out by various group. The paradigm of CSR stated that the social responsibility of business activity is not only as compulsion but also as a responsibility. CSR is not just firefighter. Many conflict are found in oil and gas industry because it is near with oil resouces in upstream areas. Conflicts in oil and gas industry are interesting to be discussed. However, study of conflicts at downstream areas rarely done. This study aims to know about the dynamics of conflict in the downstream area by comparing conflicts before and after implementation of CSR Program PT Pertamina (Persero) Terminal BBM Rewulu at 2012. This study used conflict theory of Ralf Dahrendorf as a tools to analyze. This study believes that every element in society contributes to the disintegration and social change. It assumes that the conflict does not always lead to negative things, but it also lead positive things. This study used qualitative research methods with phenomenological approach. Data was collected through observation to the object of the study, in depth interview with key actors in society an PT Pertamina (Persero) Terminal BBM Rewulu. Determination of informant used purposive, then snowball technique because the informant must be clear about the topic. The result of this study is there was disharmony condition in society before implementation CSR Programs at 2012. This study stated that conflict in society still latent conflict. That conflict does exist because there are no regulation in group, group competition and domination of mode production. Then, after implementating CSR Programs at 2012, conflicts that found in this study does exist because no regulation in group, domination of actor, group competitions and latent conflict between society and PT Pertamina (Persero) Terminal BBM Rewulu. Conflict exist caused disharmony condition in society. Conflict does not created from CSR Programs. The differences of interest are contributing to build a conflict too. Hierarchical position and domination of the actoors in society as an element of conflict triggers. CSR Programs are not as the main element of conflict because there was conflict before the programs in society. Keyword: conflict, the relation between actor, corporate social responsibility
