Peran Santri Siaga Bencana (SSB) AL-Inayah Ngargomulyo Magelang dalam Mendukung Penerapan Community - Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) terhadap Bancana Merapi

ABSTRACT CBDRM is a concept that makes a local community as a vital role in DRR. In 2010, when Merapi disaster occured, SSB Al-Inayah became one of a local communities which was involved in DRR. Islamic approach is used to support the implementation of DRR. The objectives of this research is to know the role of SSB Al-Inayah in Merapi DRR and how it is done. The researcher uses theory of disaster and development which is formulated by Collins and theory of CBDRM by UNESCAP. Finally, this research explains that local capability by Ngargomulyo’s people, especially SSB Al-Inayah, has a strong effect towards Merapi DRR. It is caused by 3 factors. Firstly, the merger of Islam and science produces Pengelolaan Risiko Bencana. Secondly, the local wisdom by SSB Al-Inayah can make the application of Pengelolaan Risiko Bencana more effective. Thirdly, social phenomena show that the existence of SSB Al-Inayah is obviously accepted and needed by around people, especially in order to actuate DRR. Those factors make SSB Al-Inayah have a vital role to support the implementation of CBDRM. Key Words: CBDRM, SSB Al-Inayah, Merapi disaster, DRR, Pengelolaan Risiko Bencana.
