ABSTRACT Many cases prove that youth use technology to record their sexual activities. At the same time, government programs to socialize education and reproductive health campaigns about sexuality to youth in Indonesia are in a dead end. This research observes the video participatory processes by youth conducted in a reproductive health education and early marriage prevention campaign in Bondowoso district. The research was done by following the entire video usage process; pre- production, production to post production to analyze the process of usage of videos by adolescents and how the process contribute towards the reproductive health education and early marriage prevention campaign in Bondowoso. This research finds and concludes that process of video usage by youth offer the opportunity for them to be message producers, the process of video utilization also brings youth closer with sensitive issues surrounding them so that youth are capable of taking actions and finding a way out towards issues with their own point of view. Thus the processes of video utilization contribute to create participatory communication development.
