2014 | Tesis | Ilmu KomunikasiABSTRACT The subordination of public relations (PR) from the bureau of public relations and publication to secretary done by Central Board of ‘Aisyiyah (CBA) before and after The 46th Muktamar became PR practice issue that interesting to be explored. Moreover, in general, few, if any, studies have been conducted to learn the practice of PR model in the organizational level in Indonesia. Therefore, this thesis explored the practice of the PR model performed by CBA as the social women and faith-base organization in Indonesia which has unique PR institutional case. The purpose is to describe further how the practice of PR model applied by CBA before and after The 46th Muktamar and factors work on its practice. Besides, this study purposed to gives recommendations related to PR for the social organizations. The questions research of this thesis was how the PR model practiced by PPA before and after The 46th Muktamar and why CBA choose one model over another. The research method was case study. The findings revealed that the PR practice in CBA is dominated by public information model. There are no significance differences between the PR model practices before and after The 46th Muktamar. Some factors that related to knowledge and skill, shared expectations, partisipative culture and organizational character influence the practice of the PR model. The recommendations taken from the findings were for the secretary of CBA to establish a PR team who is focused in managing the PR of organization.
