Resistensi Pedagang Kaki Lima yang Berdagang di Sepanjang Jalan Colombo Yogyakarta

ABSTRACT The problem in this study is in the regulation and control of the Colombo Street vendors who have set up in Sleman Regency Regulation No. 11 Year 2004 was met with resistance from street vendors. Resistance along Jalan Colombo against local regulation is referred to as resistance hawkers along Jalan Colombo. This resistance was shown there are many street vendors who sell along Jalan Colombo despite being banned. Based on those problems, the purpose of this research is to examine and analyze (1) the form of resistance hawkers who trade along Jalan Colombo Yogyakarta; and (2) the aspects that cause resistance vendors to continue to trade along Jalan Colombo Yogyakarta. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected from 28 street vendors who were selected purposively. In qualitative research researcher serves as the key instrument that go into the field and try to collect data through observation, interviews, and documentation. These three techniques are used in stages, the integrated or can be implemented at the time simultaneously. Analysis of the data are carried out by using an Interactive Model Analysis from Miles and Huberman. The result of the research indicates that (1) form of resistance used hawkers along Jalan Colombo namely resistance openly, covertly and negotiation. Resistance openly done by direct resistance against officers, or government officials with the curse and to fight with the municipal police. Covert resistance is done by making efforts indirectly with unknown expectation by government officials; and (2) resistance made by street vendors, not merely without any reason. There are specific aspects that include aspects of dissatisfaction with law No. 11 of 2004, the demands of life aspects and cultural aspects, which motivates them to take the fight against government policy.
