ABSTRACT This research is carried out by the writer in order to find out internal recruitment process in political parties and how the role of the party to the candidate selection process in internal Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle West Java Province, either in support of the campaign process, provide support in the vote counting process and in the process of legal-formal lawsuit to Constitutional Court (MK) in West Java in 2013 Election (PILKADA). This research is a case study, namely the case of the General Election in West Java in 2013. To obtain data about the political recruitment process of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle in West Java Province, the writer used descriptive qualitative study in which data in the form of primary data and secondary data collected by observation, interview and documentation. From the data obtained , the authors found that : First, candidacy internal processes Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle in West Java province in generating mechanism by which candidate has gone through the criteria or requirements in the candidate set to go forward to represent the party can be said to be democratic because Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle have gone through the proper steps such as netting, screening, surveying candidates electability, a special coordination meeting (RAKORDASUS), the fit and proper test, final determination of the candidate. Though visible in the center of the party (DPP) is dominant in determining the prospective candidates, but the decision still comes from the bottom (decentralized) conducted in a manner that is regulated in the organization of The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle. Second, the process for networking, screening, hiring, campaigns, giving witness to the suit before the Constitutional Court, The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle can be said to be consistent in guarding the candidate, the party is always seen accompanying candidate. The form of support proves that The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle have mutual aid and still adhere to the ideology of the party. Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle is an ideological party that is able to bring a potential candidate, but do not leave when faced with problems. This can be seen in the pair Rieke-Teten face legal proceedings in the Constitutional Court, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle not just leave candidates in the legal process itself, but will assist in the form of providing professional Legal Counsel. It can be concluded that in Indonesia there are political parties that run a good party recruitment function, from recruitment to post-election period.
