2014 | Tesis | Ilmu Hubungan InternasionalABSTRACT This research entitled "The Role of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in addressing Human Trafficking over Indonesian Migrant Workers In humanitarianism viewpoint; Case Study of Migrant Care. This study aims to analyze the role of Migrant Care that works in humanitarianism where the human trafficking as its problem. The method in this research used by the authors is a descriptive analytical study based on literature review, field studies, interviews, and document analysis. The author argues that the Migrant Care has a role in the treatment and prevention of human trafficking cases under the guise of placement of workers abroad. This study used an analysis view principles of universal humanitarianism that become a framework or platform that can be adopted to run the humanitarian action. The end of this research shows that the role of Migrant Care in humanitarian principles is in humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence. Migrant Care is one of the NGOs involved in humanitarian work in advocating on migrant workers issues, especially on human trafficking. Human tafficking is activities that support victims in the justice and legal protection for the fulfillment of the rights of victims, repatriation of victims, victim recovery, victim empowerment. And the results showed that regardless of the weaknesses and strengths of power and capabilities possessed by the role of NGOs in implementation is to deal with human trafficking has been followed in the platform by UNOCHA decides to obey the principles of humanity , neutrality , impartiality and independence.
