EVALUASI PENERAPAN PERAWATAN PASIEN KOMPREHENSIF TERHADAP MAHASISWA DAN PASIEN DI FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN GIGI UNIVERSITAS BRAWIJAYA

2017 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu Pendidikan KedokteranLatar Belakang: Salah satu sistem pendidikan klinik kedokteran gigi yng banyak diterapkan saat ini adalah sistem comprehensive care. Sistem ini memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk berada dalam situasi praktek dokter gigi yang nyata. Pendidikan klinik kedokteran gigi di Indonesia sebagian besar masih belum menggunakan sistem comprehensive care. FKG Universitas Brawijaya telah berupaya menerapkan sistem comprehensive care, akan tetapi belum pernah dilakukan evaluasi dalam pelaksanaannya. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa dan pasien terhadap penerapan comprehensive care dibandingkan dengan penerapan requirement-based di Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Brawijaya. Metode: Penelitian dilaksanakan di Rumah Sakit Universitas Brawijaya dengan desain kuantitatif cross-sectional. Subyek penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa klinik dengan kriteria inklusi mahasiswa yang telah atau sedang melaksanakan comprehensive care sebanyak 50 mahasiswa dan pasien comprehensive care 25 orang dan pasien requirement-based 25 orang. Peneliti meminta partisipan untuk menilai perawatan yang dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dengan 4 poin skala Likert. Perbedaan persepsi mahasiswa dan pasien antara penerapan comprehensive care dengan requirement-based dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis perbandingan dua variabel tidak berpasangan. Hasil: 50 mahasiswa dan 50 pasien berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Tingkat sense of identity, confidence, motivation dan competences mahasiswa lebih tinggi pada penerapan comprehensive care dibandingkan requirement-based. Sedangkan menurut pasien, tingkat sense of identity, confidence, motivation dan competences mahasiswa tidak berbeda antara comprehensive care dibandingkan requirement-based. Kesimpulan: Menurut mahasiswa perawatan dengan comprehensive care memiliki sense of identity, confidence dan competences yang lebih tinggi secara bermakna daripada penerapan perawatan dengan requirement-based. Menurut pasien perawatan dengan comprehensive care memiliki sense of identity, confidence, motivation dan competences yang tidak berbeda secara bermakna dibandingkan pada penerapan perawatan dengan requirement-based.
Background: One of the most widely applied dental clinical education system nowaday is the comprehensive care system. This system provides an opportunity for students to be in real dental practice situations. Mostly, dental clinic education in Indonesia still not using comprehensive care system. Faculty of Dentistry of Brawijaya University has tried to implement a comprehensive care system, but has not been evaluated in its implementation. Objective: To know the perception of student and patient toward the implementation of comprehensive care compared with the requirement-based application in Faculty of Dentistry Brawijaya University. Methods: The study was conducted at Brawijaya University Hospital using crosssectional quantitative design. The subjects of the study were all clinical student with inclusion criteria of students who have been or are conducting comprehensive care about 50 students and 25 patients comprehensive patient care and 25 requirementbased patients. Researchers asked participants to rate the treatments performed using a questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale. Different perceptions of students and patients between the implementation of comprehensive care with requirement-based were analyzed by using the comparison analysis of two unpaired variables. Results: 50 students and 50 patients participated in the study. Level of sense of identity, confidence, motivation and competences of students were higher on the implementation of comprehensive care than requirement-based. Meanwhile, according to the patient, the level of sense of identity, confidence, motivation and competences of students show no different between comprehensive care compared to requirement-based. Conclusion: According to the students, comprehensive care treatment has a sense of identity, confidence and competences which is significantly higher than the requirement-based care. According to the patient, comprehensive care has no different than requirement-based in matter of sense of identity, confidence, motivation and competences.
