2017 | Tesis-Spesialis | SP RADIOLOGILatar belakang.
Background. Doppler ultrasonography is used as an adjunct to abdominal ultrasound examination to help differentiate steatotic liver and normal organs, as there is a noticeable difference in flow patterns between fatty liver patients and normal people. Purpose. Knowing the suitability of fatty liver from non-contrast abdominal CT scan examination with portal vein doppler ultrasound. Methods and Material. The research method used non-experimental crosssectional suitability test, with non-contrast CT-scan and portal vein doppler ultrasound data sampling at Instalasi Radiologi RSUP Dr.Sardjito. The subjects of this study were patients who had performed non-contrast abdominal CT scan and obtained fatty liver results. The sample size of each group of at least 19 samples. The subjects of the study were observed by a radiologist with more than five years of experience in interpreting CT Scan and portal vein doppler ultrasound. From the interpretation of radiologist, a fatty liver suitability test was performed and a non-contrast fatty liver CT-suitability test with portal vein doppler ultrasound using statistical analysis of Mc Nemar's. Results. In the normal group there was no portal vein doppler ultrasound result with decreased velocity 0 (%). A total of 17 (44.7%) subjects in the fatty liver group had decreased portal vein velocity and 2 (5.3%) with normal portal vein velocity. From the analysis obtained p value = 0.000. Therefore p <0.05 means there is a link between the portal vein velocity with the results of a CT scan. Conclusions. There is an interpretive suitability on the portal vein doppler examination and non-contrast CT scan in the determination of fatty liver.
