Mimpi dan Pembentukan Identitas Seksual dalam Komik Houkago Hokenshitsu

Tesis ini membahas pembentukan identitas seksual individu Disorder of Sex Development melalui dunia mimpi serta implementasinya dalam kehidupan nyata. Disorder of Sex Development adalah kondisi dimana seorang individu tidak bisa menentukan identitas seksual yang harus dipertunjukkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, karena terlahir dengan kondisi yang berbeda dari manusia dengan gender biner pada umumnya. Pada tesis ini akan dibahas mengenai pembentukan identitas seksual tokoh Disorder of Sex Development yang ada dalam komik Houkago Hokenshitsu karya Mizuhashi Setona. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjabarkan proses yang dialami oleh tokoh Disorder of Sex Development dalam menentukan identitas seksualnya di dunia mimpi, menjelaskan kaitan masalah antara identitas seksual, Disorder of Sex Development, dan perspektif feminis psikoanalisis dalam komik Houkago Hokenshitsu serta mengedepankan lebih jauh permasalahan seksual yang pada masa sekarang bukanlah hal yang tabu lagi. Tesis ini menggunakan teori Ketidaksadaran dan konsep Neurosis yang dikembangkan oleh Juliet Mitchell dalam bukunya Psychoanalysis and Feminism: A Radical Reassessment of Freudian Psychoanalysis (2000). Dalam literaturnya Mitchell menjelaskan ada peranan besar dari ketidaksadaran dalam membentuk identitas seorang individu. Nantinya ketidaksadaran itu dalam kehidupan nyata akan menimbulkan efek Neurosis yang berbentuk histeria dengan gejala kecemasan pada diri individu karena perasaan yang tidak dapat dibendung. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) interaksi dan kejadian yang dialami oleh tokoh Disorder of Sex Development dalam dunia mimpi membantu dirinya dalam menetapkan identitas seksual yang ingin dipertunjukkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, (2) Sebagai implementasi dari pembentukan identitas seksual dalam dunia mimpi, maka gejala neurosis histeria dalam bentuk kecemasan melanda tokoh Disorder of Sex Development berhubungan dengan orang sekitar dan rekonstruksi identitas seksual yang harus dilakukan untuk dapat menjadi individu yang independent.

This thesis discusses the formation of individual Disorder of Sex Development sexual identity through the world of dreams and its implementation in real life. Disorder of Sex Development is a condition in which an individual can�t determine sexual identity that must be demonstrated in everyday life, because born with conditions different from humans with a binary gender in general. In this thesis will be discussed about the formation of sexual identity of Disorder of Sex Development figure in the comic Houkago Hokenshitsu by Mizuhashi Setona. The purpose of this study is to describe the process that experienced by the figure of Disorder of Sex Development in determining sexual identity in the dream world, explaining the relationship between sexual identity, Disorder of Sex Development, and the perspective of feminist psychoanalysis in the Houkago Hokenshitsu comic and further emphasizing sexual issues which at present is not taboo anymore. This thesis uses the theory of Unconsciousness and the concept of Neurosis developed by Juliet Mitchell in her book Psychoanalysis and Feminism: A Radical Reassessment of Freudian Psychoanalysis (2000). In her literature Mitchell explains there is a great role of unconsciousness in shaping the identity of an individual. Later on unconsciousness in real life will cause the effect of hysteria-shaped Neurosis with symptoms of anxiety in the individual because of unstoppable feelings. From the research conducted the following conclusions are obtained: (1) interacted and experienced in the world of dreams by the figure of Disorder of Sex Development help him in establishing his sexual identity that he wants to demonstrate in daily life. (2) As the implementation of the formation of sexual identity in the world of dreams, the symptoms of neurosis hysteria in the form of anxiety struck the figure of Disorder of Sex Development related to the people around him and the reconstruction of sexual identity that must be done to become an independent individual.
