Conveyor merupakan salah satu alat yang dapat digunakan dalam membantu proses perpindahan material dari satu tempat menuju ke tempat lain dengan efektif dan otomatis tanpa menggunakan man power. Proses perpindahan material secara otomatis ini dapat menggantikan metode manual yang dirasakan kurang efektif karena harus menggunakan trolli yang harus ditunggu hingga penuh kemudian diantar oleh operator. Selain kurang efektif, metode perpindahan material secara manual juga menimbulkan masalah lain yaitu keselamatan kerja akibat cairan coolant yang menetes dilantai. Metode manual dalam perpindahan material kurang efektif diterapkan pada produksi masa yang tinggi seperti di PT XYZ dan harus diganti dengan metode otomatis menggunakan Roller Conveyor . Untuk mengganti metode tersebut dibutuhkan penelitian dan perancangan yang baik serta pemilihan komponen yang sesuai. Untuk melengkapi data yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian, dilakukan langkah � langkah seperti observasi lapangan, studi literatur, interview langsung, serta melakukan desain yang disesuaikan dengan mempertimbangkan kelebihan dan kekurangan, dan diakhiri dengan membuat kesimpulan data. Roller Conveyor yang di rancang pada lintasan kerja Operation Process 70 menuju Operation Process 80 PT XYZ diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efektfitas produksi Crank case dengan mengurangi waktu tunggu serta dapat mengurangi man power.

Conveyor is one tool which can be used in helping the process of moving material from one place to another place without using man powereffectively and automatically. This automatic material transfer process can replace manual method that is consider less effective because manual method needs to use trolli that requires to wait until it has full filled then delivered by the operator.Besides it is less effective, manual material transfer method also raises another problem whichis the work safety caused by the fluid coolant that drips on the floor. Manual method in material transfer is considered less effective to be applied to high production period including in PT XYZ and it must be replaced by automatic method using Roller conveyor.To change the method requires good research and design and selection of appropriate components.To complete the required data in the research, the writer conducted some steps such as field observation, literature studies, direct interviews, and customized designs which convinient in considering the advantages and shortages. The last part of the research will be the data conclusion. Roller conveyor which designed on the work track Operation Process 70 to Operation Process 80 PT XYZ is expected to increase the effectiveness of Crank case production by reducing waiting time and can reduce man power.
