INTISARI Penelitian ini membahas tentang bentuk dan tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Pancoh beserta makna partisipasi dalam konteks lingkungan, ekonomi dan edukasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Dusun Pancoh, Desa Girikerto, Kecamatan Turi, Kabupaten Sleman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk memperoleh peta atau gambaran mengenai bentuk-bentuk partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Pancoh, (2) untuk memperoleh peta atau gambaran mengenai tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Pancoh, (3) untuk memahami misi sosial di balik pengembangan Desa Wisata Pancoh dalam misi sosial lingkungan, misi sosial ekonomi dan misi sosial edukasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus digunakan untuk menggambarkan fenomena pada partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Pancoh. Kemudian teknik pengambilan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan mengenai partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan Desa Wisata Pancoh, menunjukkan adanya bentuk partisipasi buah pikiran, tenaga, keterampilan harta benda dan partisipasi sosial. Kemudian tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dapat digunakan untuk menilai makna partisipasi dalam konteks lingkungan, ekonomi dan edukasi. Tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dapat dilihat melalui seberapa besar ruang yang diberikan pemegang kekuasaan kepada masyarakat. Partisipasi masyarakat dalam konteks lingkungan, ekonomi dan edukasi memiliki level yang berbeda pada setiap tahap pengembangan Desa Wisata Pancoh.

ABSTRACT This research mainly discussed the creation and the level of public participation in the development of Desa Wisata Pancoh, as well as the meaning of participation in the contexts of environment, economy and education. The research was created in Dusun Pancoh, Desa Girikerto, Kecamatan Turi, Kabupaten Sleman. There are several goals of this research, which are (1) To acquire the map or picture of the forms of public participation in the development of Desa Wisata Pancoh, (2) To acquire map or picture of the level of public participation in the development of Desa Wisata Pancoh, (3) To understand the social mission behind the development of Desa Wisata Pancoh and in the forms of environmental social mission, economical social mission as well as educational social mission. The method that is used in the research is analytical descriptive. The approach that is used in the research is study case. Qualitative approach that is used in the case study is used to picture the phenomenon on the public participation in the development of Desa Wisata Pancoh. The data that are presented in this research is gathered through series of observation, interviews as well as documments. The result of the study on the public participation in the development of Desa Wisata Pancoh showed the existence of participations in the form of ideas, efforts, abilities, economical capital and social participation. The level of the public participation can be used to assess the meaning behind participation in the contexts of environment, economy, and education. Level of public participation can be seen from how big is the space that is given from the stakeholders to the society. Public participations in the contexts of environment, economy and education have different level in each step of the development of Desa Wisata Pancoh.
