2017 | Tugas Akhir | D3 TEKNIK ELEKTRO SVSemakin berkembangnya zaman, semakin tinggi juga kebutuhan manusia terhadap perkembangan didalam dunia telekomunikasi, dengan banyaknya pengguna telekomunikasi pada saat ini operator dituntut agar lebih meningkatkan kinerjannya dengan cara lebih memperluas jaringan telekomunikasi, agar semua masyarakat merasakan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi sekarang ini. Kebutuhan telekomunikasi pengguna GSM tidak hanya sekedar suara dan teks lagi, tetapi sudah mencapai pengiriman paket data. Teknologi yang sedang dikembangkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna saat ini adalah 3G. Menggunakan sistem WCDMA sehingga kemampuan akses data semakin cepat. Perangkat yang memegang peranan penting karena berfungsi menghubungkan pengguna dan operator adalah BTS dan dalam dunia 3G disebut NodeB. Jumlah pemasangan NodeB terus bertambah tiap tahun, seiring dengan komitmen dari penyedia jasa telekomunikasi untuk meningkatkan dan memperluas layanan data, maka PT Huawei salah satu perusahaan telekomunikasi juga turut ambil dalam menciptakan perangkat pada BTS 3G untuk seluler di Indonesia yang lebih mudah untuk diimplementasikan. Salah satu produk BTS Huawei yaitu BTS 3900 yang implementasinya lebih mudah dan praktis dalam transport berbasis IP yang sudah diimplementasikan dibeberapa area.
