Untuk menghasilkan listrik yang besar maka diperlukan efisiensi boiler yang tinggi. Berbagai cara dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan efisiensi dari boiler dengan memasang salah satunya Heater yang terbagi menjadi High Pressure Heater (HP Heater) dan Low Pressure Heater (LP Heater). Heater adalah suatu alat yang berfungsi untuk memanaskan air pengisi yang masuk ke dalam boiler untuk diproses secara berkelanjutan sehingga menghasilkan uap yang digunakan untuk memutar turbin. Dalam proses pemanasan air pada heater menggunakan uap ekstraksi yang berasal dari turbine. Untuk dapat terus mempertahankan kinerja yang optimal dari heater ini yaitu dengan menurunkan gangguan yang dapat terjadi akibat peralatan instrumen maka diperlukan sistem pengontrolan dan instrumentasi atau pengukuran yang baik. Dalam sistem pengendalian level air kondensasi pada heater ini, menggunakan level transmitter yang berfungsi sebagai sensor level yang akan mengirim atau mentransmisikan sinyal listrik menuju kontroller untuk diproses kemudian diteruskan ke aktuator berupa valve yaitu LCV (Level Control Valve). Untuk itu perlu digunakan jenis level transmitter yang mampu bekerja pada kondisi atau keadaan peralatan yang mampu dan tahan terhadap gangguan dari kondisi lingkungan pada peralatan tersebut. Level Transmitter jenis radar yaitu guided wave radar sesuai, cocok dan handal untuk digunakan sebaga alat ukur level pada heater, yaitu level air hasil kondensasi.

Level Transmitter serves as a level sensor that will transmit electrical signals to the controller for processing and compared with the set point and then forwarded to the actuator, the actuator here is the valve that is LCV (Level Control Valve). It is necessary to use a type of transmitter level capable of working in conditions appropriate to the state of the equipment capable and resistant to interference from environmental conditions on the equipment. Radar Level Transmitter is a guided wave radar suitable and reliable for use in measuring level on the heater, the water level of condensation.
