Pada instalasi sistem transmisi tenaga listrik mempunyai peralatan-peralatan standar operasi sebagai pendukung kinerjanya. Salah satunya adalah PMT atau CB (Circuit Breaker) yang berfungsi sebagai alat yang dipergunakan untuk memutus atau menghubungkan suatu sistem tenaga listrik saat berbeban maupun tanpa beban saat terjadi arus gangguan (hubung singkat) pada jaringan atau peralatan lain. Pemeliharaan yang baik dapat meminimalisasi gangguan peralatan serta memperpanjang umur dari PMT. Salah satu metode pemeliharaannya yaitu Pengujian tahanan kontak, untuk mengetahui nilai tahanan kontak PMT yg digunakan masih sesuai dengan standar nilai dari PLN maupun Standar dari Perusahaan.

In the installation of electric power transmission systems have standard operating equipment as supporting performance. One of them is Circuit Breaker or CB (Circuit Breaker) that serves as a tool used to disconnect or connect an electric power system when loaded or without load when the current interference (short circuit) on the network or other equipment. Good maintenance can minimize equipment disturbance and extend the life of the CB. One method of maintenance is the Test of contact resistance, to determine the value of CB contact resistance used is still in accordance with the standard value of PLN or Standard of the Factory.
