PENGARUH PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI TERHADAP KESENJANGAN PENDAPATAN DI PULAU LOMBOK TAHUN 2008-2014

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap kesenjangan pendapatan yang terjadi di Pulau Lombok dengan mengadopsi model Kurva U terbalik yang dikemukakan oleh Simon Kuznets. Dalam hal ini, digunakan Indeks Theil sebagai Proxy nilai kesenjangan pendapatan di Pulau Lombok yang merupakan variabel terikat dan log PDRB per kapita sebagai variable mengikat. Setelah melakukan regresi dengan metode Fixed Effect menggunakan data panel, maka maka ditemukanlah bahwa koefisien log PDRB per kapita yang merepresentasikan pertumbuhan ekonomi jangka pendek bernilai positif dan Log PDRB per kapita kuadrat yang merepresentasikan pertumbuhan ekonomi jangka panjang bernilai negative. Kedua variabel juga terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesenjangan pendapatan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil regresi mendukung teori Simon Kuznets.

The aims of this research is to analyze how economic growth affect income disparity that happen in Lombok Island by adopting Kuznets's Inverted U Hypothesis. In this case, Theil Index used to proxy as a dependent variable for an income disparity in the Lombok and Log PDRB per capita as an independent variable. After doing a regression with Fixed effect method using a panel data, then the coefficient of log PDRB per capita is positive where it show that short term economic growth affect positively toward income disparity. The coefficient of squared log of PDRB per capita is negative, meaning that in the long term economic growth have negative impact on income disparity. Both of these variables proved to be significantly related with income disparity. This mean the regression result support Kuznest's theory.
