Permasalahan Tenaga Kerja Asing Ilegal Asia Dalam Film Banga-Banga! : Kajian Sosiologi Sastra

Karya sastra adalah bentuk ekspresi pengarang terhadap apa yang dialami. Objek penelitian ini adalah film karya Yook Sanghyo berjudul Banga-Banga! yang terinspirasi dari kehidupannya. Alasan penulis melakukan penelitian ini adalah karena film ini menunjukkan kehidupan TKA ilegal yang sebenarnya. TKA ilegal biasa dianggap sebagai masalah ketenagakerjaan di Korea. Status hukum, ketertindasan yang dialami, dan reaksi masyarakat adalah masalah yang harus dihadapi TKA ilegal di Korea. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori sosiologi sastra untuk membahas ketertindasan yang dihadapi TKA ilegal di Korea dalam film ini. Sastra adalah sebuah karya yang berurusan dengan manusia dalam masyarakat. Maka dari itu sastra disebut sebagai representasi kondisi suatu masyarakat. Sosiologi sastra bertugas menghubungkan pengalaman tokoh-tokoh khayali dan situasi ciptaan pengarang dengan asal-usul pengarang. Sosiologi sastra dipilih karena permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah masalah dan kondisi masyarakat. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa permasalahan yang dihadapi TKA ilegal di Korea dalam film ini adalah diskriminasi dan kekerasan. Permasalahan tersebut didapat dari atasan, sesama karyawan, dan masyarakat Korea. Film ini merepresentasikan kondisi penerimaan masyarakat Korea terhadap TKA ilegal sebagai orang asing di Korea. Melalui film ini Yook juga memberikan kritik terhadap TKA ilegal, masyarakat Korea atas perlakuan diskriminatif mereka, masyarakat umum sebagai penonton untuk memiliki rasa toleransi, dan kepada remaja Korea agar melihat keadaan TKA ilegal dalam film ini sebagai contoh agar tidak berakhir sebagai TKA di luar negeri apalagi sebagai TKA ilegal.

Literary work is a form of author expression about his experience. The object of this research is Yook Sanghyo's film titled Banga-Banga! which inspired by his life. The author considers to conduct this research because this film portrays illegal foreign workers and their actual life. Illegal foreign workers are considered as an employment problem in Korea. Legal status, oppression, and society reaction are some of the problems that illegal foreign workers have to cope with in Korea. This research applies sociology of literature as a theory to discuss the oppression that illegal foreign workers facing in Korea in this film. Literature is a work which deal with human in society. Therefore, literature is considered as a representation of the condition of a society. The purpose of sociology of literature is to connect fictional character's experience and their situation that created by the author with the condition of author's history which is their origin. Sociology of literature was chosen as a theory because the issue which is discussed on this paper is society condition and issues. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the problems faced by illegal foreign workers in Korea in this film are discrimination and violence. The problems is obtained from superiors, fellow employees, and Korean society. The film represents Korean society acceptance of Asian illegal foreign workers as a foreigner in Korea. Through this film Yook is trying to criticized illegal foreign workers existence, public as a viewer to have a sense of tolerance and Korean's discriminatory behavior. He also wishes that Korean teenagers will see this film as a reflection so they won't end up as foreign workers in foreign country especially as illegal foreign workers.
