PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SHAMPOO IVERMECTIN 0,05% TERHADAP GAMBARAN KLINIS DAN HISTOPATOLOGIS RAMBUT KUCING TERINFEKSI DERMATOFITOSIS

Pengobatan dermatofitosis biasanya menggunakan anti jamur. Selain terapi dengan menggunakan obat tersebut, ada alternatif lain yaitu menggunakan ivermectin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ivermectin 0,05% dalam bentuk shampoo yang digunakan untuk mengobati dermatofitosis. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 ekor kucing yang digrooming menggunakan shampoo ivermectin 0,05%, 1 kali dalam seminggu selama 3 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan gambaran klinis daerah yang terinfeksi dermatofita tampak bersih dan mengalami perubahan lesi yang mengarah pada kesembuhan kulit serta berdasarkan gambaran histologis terdapat kenaikan rerata tebal korteks rambut yang secara statistik signifikan dan menuju pada rerata ketebalan korteks rambut kucing tanpa perlakuan shampoo ivermectin 0,05%. Shampoo ivermectin 0,05% dapat memperbaiki korteks rambut dan mengurangi gejala klinis dermatofitosis.

Anti-fungal ointment usually use as dermatophytosis treatment. In addition to the therapy using that drugs, there is another alternative by using ivermectin. This study aim to determine the influence of ivermectin 0,05% as shampoo to cure dermatophytosis. This study used 5 cats groomed with ivermectin 0,05% shampoo, once a week as long as three weeks. Result from this study showed that based on clinical description of infected dermatophytosis areas looked clean and lesion changes leading to healing of the skin and based on histologic features there was a significant increase in the thickness of the hair cortex which was statistically significant and led to the average thickness of the cat hair cortex without the treatment of 0,05% ivermectin shampoo. 0.05% ivermectin shampoo can improve the hair cortex and reduce the clinical symptoms of dermatophytosis.
