PENGARUH PEMBANGUNAN INFRASTRUKTUR DAN VARIABEL EKONOMI TERHADAP LUAS LAHAN SAWAH DI PROVINSI JAWA TIMUR TAHUN 2011 - 2015

Jawa Timur merupakan provinsi yang memiliki luas sawah terbesar di Indonesia. Hal ini menyebabkan penyaluran tenaga kerja di provinsi Jawa Timur terbesar pada sektor pertanian. Tetapi selama 5 tahun terakhir luas lahan di provinsi Jawa Timur mengalami penurunan.Sedangkan kontribusi pertanian terhadap PDRB di Provinsi Jawa Timur mengalami kenaikan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis seberapa besar pengaruh Pembangunan Infrastruktur dan Variabel Ekonomi terhadap Luas Lahan Sawah di Provinsi Jawa Timur pada tahun 2011 - 2015 menggunakan metode Analisis Regresi Data Panel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel Kepadatan Penduduk dan PDRB Per wilayah di Provinsi Jawa Timur tidak berpengaruh terhadap Luas Lahan Sawah di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Sedangkan variabel Jumlah Industri di Provinsi Jawa Timur berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap Luas Lahan Sawah di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Apabila terjadi peningkatan Jumlah Industri di Provinsi Jawa Timur maka akan diikuti dengan penurunan Luas Lahan Sawah di Provinsi Jawa Timur.

East Java is the province which has the largest rice field area in Indonesia. This condition makes an agriculture sector to be the biggest portion of workers in East Java. But in last 5 years, the rice field area in East Java is decreasing. In other hand, the contribution of agriculture sector of PDRB in East Java is increasing. The purpose of this research is to analyze how the development of infrastructure and economic variable impacts the rice field area in East java in 2011 - 2015 by using regression analysis of panel data method. The result of this research shows that population of citizen and PDRB per area in East Java does not affect the area of the rice field in East Java while the number of industry East Java has a negative impact and significantly affects the area of the rice filed in East Java. If there is the increase of industry at East Java, it will be followed by decrease of rice field area at East Java.
