HUBUNGAN ANTARA CANCER RELATED FATIGUE DENGAN KEBUTUHAN SPIRITUAL PADA PASIEN KANKER PAYUDARA

Latar Belakang: Kanker payudara adalah kanker yang paling umum terjadi pada wanita di seluruh dunia, yaitu sebesar 43,3% dan persentase kematian akibat kanker payudara sebesar 12,9%. Melihat dari salah satu gejala kanker, cancer related fatigue (CRF) adalah gejala yang sering ditemui. Cancer related fatigue (CRF) menyebabkan perubahan dalam rutinitas sehari-hari, dan dengan beristirahat pun gejala kelelahan tersebut tidak bisa hilang. Proses penyembuhan pada pasien kanker salah satunya berfokus pada kebutuhan spiritual. Pada penelitian sebelumnya menjelaskan bahwa keadaan spiritual yang tidak baik dikaitkan dengan hasil fisik yang buruk dan memiliki rasa kelelahan yang lebih tinggi. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara cancer related fatigue dengan kebutuhan spiritual pada pasien kanker payudara. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif non-eksperimental menggunakan rancangan cross sectional dengan teknik purposive sampling pada 111 pasien kanker payudara di Instalasi Rawat Inap I (IRNA) RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta dan di Instalasi Rawat Inap 1 dan 2 RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto, Banyumas. CRF diukur menggunakan FACIT-Fatigue Scale dan kebutuhan spiritual diukur menggunakan Spiritual Needs Questionnaire (SPNQ). Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara CRF dengan kebutuhan spiritual (p=0,037; r =-0,198) dengan nilai korelasi negatif sehingga semakin tinggi kebutuhan spiritual maka semakin rendah tingkat CRF pasien. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna dengan kekuatan korelasi sangat lemah antara CRF dengan kebutuhan spiritual pada pasien penderita kanker payudara di RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta dan RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto, Banyumas.

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. It has the highest percentage at 43,3% and 12,9% of the patient were died from breast cancer. One of the symptom experienced by patients with cancer is cancer related fatigue (CRF). Cancer related fatigue (CRF) can cause lifestyle changes, lacks of energy and even bedrest will not help them to restore their energy. A healing process in cancer patients is focus on spiritual needs. Previous research showed that a bad spiritual state is associated with a bad physical outcome and had a higher level of fatigue. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the association between cancer related fatigue with spiritual needs in breast cancer patients. Method: Quantitative non-eksperimental research with cross sectional design were used in this study. Sampling were used purposive sampling technique on 111 breast cancer patients at Instalasi Rawat Inap I (IRNA) RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta and Instalasi Rawat Inap 1 dan 2 RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto, Banyumas. Cancer related fatigue (CRF) was measured using FACIT-Fatigue Scale and spiritual needs were measured using Spiritual Needs Questionnaire (SPNQ) Result: The result of this study showed there was significant negative correlation between CRF and spiritual needs (p=0,037; r =-0,198). The result of the correlation was negative so that higher spritual needs lower CRF level. Conclusion: There was significant correlation between CRF and spiritual needs, with level of correlation very weak in breast cancer patients at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta and RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto, Banyumas.
