PENGARUH SUPERJAMU TERHADAP JUMLAH TOTAL ERITROSIT, KADAR HEMOGLOBIN, PACKED CELL VOLUME, MEAN CORPUSCULAR VOLUME, MEAN CORPUSCULAR HEMOGLOBIN, DAN MEAN CORPUSCULAR HEMOGLOBIN CONCENTRATION PADA DOMBA EKOR GEMUK

Jamu merupakan obat herbal yang banyak digunakan pada ternak untuk menunjang performa. Beberapa zat dalam tanaman yang terdapat pada jamu memiliki pengaruh terhadap gambaran profil sel darah merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Superjamu terhadap Total Eritrosit, Hemoglobin, PCV, MCV, MCH, dan MCHC. Penelitian menggunakan domba sebanyak 16 ekor yang dibagi dalam 4 kelompok. Kelompok A sebagai kelompok kontrol diberikan tambahan akuades sebanyak 10 ml/hari secara peroral. Kelompok B diberikan tambahan Superjamu sebanyak 10 ml/hari. Kelompok C diberikan tambahan Superjamu sebanyak 20 ml/hari. Kelompok D diberikan tambahan Superjamu sebanyak 20 ml/3 hari. Pemberian Superjamu dilakukan secara peroral. Perlakuan dilakukan selama 10 minggu. Pengambilan data mengenai sel darah merah dilakukan di akhir penelitian. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan Superjamu tidak berpengaruh terhadap Total Eritrosit, Hemoglobin, PCV, MCV, MCH, dan MCHC (P lebih dari 0,05). Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa Superjamu tidak dapat menaikkan nilai Total Eritrosit, Hemoglobin, PCV, MCV, MCH, dan MCHC hingga kisaran normal pada domba dalam kondisi anemia.

Jamu or herb are traditional medicine mostly used in animal husbandry to support the livestocks performance. Some natural substances in the plants from which the herb are taken from have influence upon the red blood cell profile. This research aim is to examined the influence of Super Jamu on the red blod cell profile, including Total Erythrocytes, Hemoglobin, PCV, MCV, MCH, and MCHC. The research uses sixteen big tail sheep were divided into four groups. Group A is the control group, which were given only 10 ml aquades/day orally. Super Jamu 10ml/day is given to group B. Group C were given 20ml Super Jamu per day. Group D were given 20 ml Super Jamu per day. Super Jamu is given orally. This treatment has been conducted for ten weeks. The data of red blod cell are collected in the end of the research.The analisis result of the research showed that Superjamu do not affect the total erythrocytes, hemoglobin, PCV, MCV, MCH, and MCHC (P more than 0,05). Based on the research that has been done can concluded that the Superjamu do not able to increase the value of the Total Erythrocytes, Hemoglobin, PCV, MCV, MCH, dan MCHC to the range of normal in the sheep to the conditions of anemia.
