Politik Anti Neo-Liberalisme Venezuela Di Era Kepemimpinan Hugo Chavez

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis alasan-alasan Hugo Chavez dalam melakukan tindakan politik anti neo-liberalisme, penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kepentingan Hugo Chavez dibalik kebijakan-kebijakan anti-neoliberal yang dijalankannya, Seiring runtuhya Uni Soviet menjadikan neo-liberalisme yang dimotori oleh AS adalah satu-satunya jalan bagi Venezuela yang ingin mengatasai masalah ekonomi negaranya melalui Washington Konsensus yang dimotori AS menyebabkan disparitas keuntungan bagi sebagian kecil elite dan perusahaan-perusahaan asing, disisi lain merugikan negara dan mayoritas rakyat Venezuela. Preseden tersebut mendorong gerakan rakyat yang kecewa terhadap neo-liberalisme sehingga melahirkan dan mendukung pemimpin beraliran kiri yakni Chavez. Karena kekecewaan masa lalu dan keinginan massa atas kesejahteraan, ia membangun politik anti neo-liberalisme sebagai basis kekuatan dari kekuasaan politiknya. Namun desain politik yang berbeda dari ajaran sosialisme pendahulunya yang telah gagal memimpin. Chavez tidak melakukan perombakan total dari struktur dasar neo-liberalisme itu sendiri. Ia menggantungkan minyak sebagai modal untuk disalurkan ke program subsidi sosial besar-besaran kepada rakyatnya. Diluar negeri Chavez mendesain politik pembendungan atas hegemoni AS dan elemen neo-liberalisme lainnya. Ditambah karakter dan kepemimpinan Hugo Chavez yang berhaluan kiri mendorong dirinya untuk memperluas dan meningkatkan kekuatan dan dukungan politik

This study aims to analyze the reasons of Hugo Chavez in conducting anti neo-liberal political action. This qualitative research aims to discuss the interests of Hugo Chavez behind the anti neoliberal policies issued. Hugo Chavez is a former Military Colonel who holds the ideology of Simon Bolivar, a liberator in Latin America who unites Latin America into a great power against imperialism and capitalism, As the Soviet Union makes US led neo-liberal the only one The way for Venezuela to solve its country's economic problems. Through the adoption of the US-led Washington Consensus, it has led to a disparity in profits for a small number of elite and foreign companies, on the other hand harming the state and the majority of the Venezuelan people. The precedent prompted the dis-satisfied people's movement against neo-liberalism to give birth to and support leftist leader Chavez. Because of the past disappointment and the desire of the masses for prosperity, he built the 'anti' policy of neo-liberalism as the basis of the power of his political power. But the political designs are different from the teachings of its predecessor socialism that has failed to lead. Chavez did not make a complete overhaul of the basic structure of neo-liberalism itself. In the domestic context, efforts are made to depend on oil as capital to be channeled into a massive social subsidy program to its people. Outside the country is designed a political containment of US hegemony and other elements of neo-liberalism. The character and leadership of left-leaning Hugo Chavez pushed himself to expand and increase support and political power.
